Matt Gloster, a Vice President at Goodwill, mentioned that this program targets those that are underserved within the Nashville neighborhood, “We target audiences in the north part of Nashville. So when we bring them into our program, we work with them on their employability skills. We’re with them on financial literacy, digital literacy, and then work skills training programs, like the construction training.”

They come from the National Council on construction research and education. It has basic carpentry, basic construction safety. OSHA 10, they get a certification for that, we get a weatherization certification, and they learn how to operate a forklift.”
