I’m A Celeb is back as a star-studded line up head for the Welsh castle again this year.
An exciting cast including football hero, music star and a broadcasting legend will be to sure to entertain us for the next two weeks or so.
However, in previous years big named campmates have not quite had the impact they’d have wanted, with some not even making it onto our screens.
Here are some celebs who’s time in the camp didn’t quite go the way they expected, as reports Birmingham Live.
Actress and singer Steph Davies is best known for appearing as Sinead O’Connor in soap Hollyoaks but some viewers will remember her as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother where she had a doomed romance with fellow housemate Jeremy McConnell.
She signed up for I’m A Celeb in 2015 but was forced to pull out and cancel her appearance due a potentially fatal nut allergy.
Malcolm was the promoter and manager of punk rock band the Sex Pistols as well as being a successful solo artist himself. He also had a song featured on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Volume 2
In 2007, Malcolm was announced as a contestant on the seventh series of I’m A Celebrity but controversially pulled out on the day he flew to Australia.
He then sensationally branded the show as fake and that he didn’t know any of the other celebrities.
He was replaced by Katie Hopkins.
Gemma is no stranger to reality TV having started her career on TOWIE before enjoying appearances on Dancing on Ice and Splash with Tom Daley.
Appearing as a contestant on I’m A Celeb in 2014, she pulled out of the show in less than 72 hours after struggling with the heat in the Australian jungle and refusing to parachute in along with the other campmates.
Although her time in the jungle was brief, it’s nothing short of iconic.
Spencer found fame on Made in Chelsea alongside fellow stars Jamie Laing and Sam Thompson but is now a successful media personality and businessman.
Although he was initially a popular contestant on I’m A Celeb in 2015, Spencer was asked to leave the show due to his consumption of steroid pills during his time in the camp.
Viewers will recognise Elaine as Lynne Hobbs in Eastenders. Lynne was the oldest Slater sister and later married Garry Hobbs in the BBC soap.
She appeared as an I’m A Celeb contestant in 2005 and was removed from the camp for medical reasons on day one after passing out twice despite the shows doctors finding her to be in good health.
Her situation prompted the show producers to begin considering if the celebrities who appeared on the show could cope with the harsh heat of the jungle.
Camilla was a former professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing where she won the series with Holby City actor Tom Chambers.
She appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2009 but withdrew on day four after falling ill and was left exhausted and severely weakened due to the lack of food on the show.
