NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A juvenile escaped custody Monday night as they have been being transported to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
According to Metro police, a Nashville Fire Department crew was transporting a affected person from the Juvenile Justice Center to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
The affected person was accompanied by a guard and was restrained on the wrists and ankles.
As the car acquired to the hospital and crews started unloading, authorities say the affected person freed themselves from the restraints and ran towards a close-by intersection the place an SUV was ready.
The guard chased the affected person and tried to subdue them. Personnel with the NFD additionally assisted till the affected person instructed the occupant of the SUV to “get the gun.”
The driver pulled a weapon on authorities and the affected person acquired within the car.
The SUV fled the scene with the affected person on board.
No one was damage within the incident.
Authorities at the moment are looking for the affected person.
