ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are investigating after a man was killed and a woman was critically injured in a crash in Antioch early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just after 1 a.m. on Old Hickory Boulevard near Cane Ridge High School.
According to Metro police, an SUV crossed the double yellow line and struck the other car head-on.

A man driving the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger was taken an area hospital with critical injuries.
Metro police reported the driver of the SUV was picked up by someone after the crash but before officers arrived and taken to his home. He was later taken to the hospital by a family member.
The driver of the SUV has non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the SUV was headed toward Interstate 24, passing vehicles on the right and may have over-corrected.
Old Hickory Boulevard remains shut down with no word on when the roadway is planned to reopen.
